GMO Internet Group Enters into Strategic Partnership with Anthropic to Accelerate Its Transformation into a Hyper-Automated Corporate Group

On July 10, 2026, GMO Internet Group, Inc. entered into a strategic partnership with U.S.-based Anthropic PBC. By leveraging Anthropic’s advanced AI technology, GMO Internet Group, which has supported Japan’s internet infrastructure for 30 years, aims to promote the secure adoption of AI both within and outside the Group while accelerating its transformation into Japan’s leading hyper-automated corporate group.
Under the partnership, GMO Internet Group will integrate Anthropic’s AI into its cybersecurity services, including through the enhancement of “Takumi byGMO,” and advance physical AI applications through its AI and robotics business. The Group will also deploy Claude Enterprise across its companies to establish a secure AI infrastructure and improve operational efficiency.
In addition, the two companies are considering jointly organizing events to promote AI adoption, including capture-the-flag (CTF) cybersecurity competitions, drawing on GMO Internet Group’s team of approximately 200 ethical hackers.
