GlobalSign Receives Third Consecutive Japan Technology Fast 50 Award

Tokyo – October 10, 2008 – GMO Hosting & Security consolidated subsidiary and digital authentication service provider, GlobalSign has received an award in the sixth Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Japan Technology Fast 50. The awards, announced by Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Japan, rank the fastest growing companies in the technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT) sector. This year marks the third consecutive year that GlobalSign has been recognized in these awards*. Twenty-eight companies have received awards in multiple consecutive years; of those only ten have received awards in three consecutive years making GlobalSign is one of the few selected companies to have achieved continued growth.

Part of a Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu (DTT) program operating in 20 countries and three regions, the awards represent a benchmark for growth and success in the technology sector. Fifty listed and unlisted companies are selected based on percentage revenue growth in their last three fiscal terms.
Having received this award, GlobalSign is now automatically nominated for the regional rankings, the seventh Technology Fast 500 Asia Pacific to be announced in December.

Japan Technology Fast 50
The Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Japan Technology Fast 50 ranks the 50 fastest growing companies in Japanfs TMT sector. Companies in the software, content, Internet, computer (including peripherals), life sciences, communications, and semi-conductor (including parts and electronics) fields are ranked according to percentage revenue growth in their last three fiscal years.
* Based on percentage revenue growth between 2006 and 2008 for companies that close the fiscal year between January and March, and percentage revenue growth between 2005 and 2007 for other companies.

Technology Fast 500 Asia Pacific
DTT ranks the 500 fastest growing TMT companies, in three regions worldwide. The program was launched in North America in 1995 followed by Europe and the Asia Pacific region in 2002. Last year 63 companies from Japan received Technology Fast 500 Asia Pacific awards. Eight Japanese companies were represented at the Hong Kong award ceremony attended by over 260 executives from throughout the Asia Pacific Region.
