GlobalSign Launches First One-click SSL in Japan Market Through Speedia

Tokyo – September 18, 2008 – GMO Hosting & Security consolidated subsidiary and digital certificate service provider, GlobalSign and hosting services company Speedia announce the launch of the first One-click SSL service for the Japanese market. One-click SSL will be available through Speedia from next Wednesday, September 24.

SSL server certificates are crucial to e-commerce and communications over the Internet because they guarantee that the user is accessing the site they intended and protect confidential customer information. However, the process for installing existing SSL server certificates is complicated and requires technical skill.

Now, using GlobalSign One-click SSL Speedia is making it possible for partners to automatically install SSL server certificates on Speedia rental servers in just one click from our order screen. One-click SSL shortens the tedious and complicated installation process that involves CSR generation by a server administrator, receiving e-mail to verify a domain, receipt of the SSL server certificate and actual installation onto the server. The installation process is completed minutes after clicking from the order screen so service installation is faster and more accurate than existing processes.

The two companies will continue to promote secure Internet use and develop services that make SSL available to a broader user base.
