iSLE Launches Saas/Cloud Incubation Program

Tokyo – June 30, 2009 – GMO Internet Group company, GMO Hosting & Security announces the launch of the iSLE managed hosting solution (*1), SaaS/Cloud Incubation Program for software and application developers looking to implement a Saas or cloud delivery model.

(*1)
Managed hosting: iSLE dedicated server with dedicated engineer for maintenance for hardware configuration and maintenance.

SaaS type application services are widely used among businesses because of the cost-saving advantages they offer. Users do not need to install a server or other system, they pay only for the functions they need, and access the application from the Internet. Service vendors however, are required to deal with building servers and networks, implementing appropriate security measures and other services in addition to the provision of these functions. These same issues also apply to the provision of cloud services in an online server environment.

iSLE is launching the SaaS/Cloud Incubation Program as a solution for application and software vendors without server operation capabilities who are looking to develop a SaaS or cloud delivery model.

SaaS/Cloud Incubation Program

SaaS/Cloud Incubation Program offers support to vendors on four levels.

1. Consultation We listen to the vendors’ needs and propose the optimal server for the application specifications.
2. Server Construction We build the ideal server environment according to the proposal selected by the vendor
3. Operation and Management We establish operating rules best suited the server architecture and application specifications, and provide operation and maintenance in accordance with those rules.
4. Busines Support Joint sales opportunities, introduction of the vendor’s eservice on the iSLE website, joint seminars and other marketing opportunities.
Hosting Service Fees

Under the SaaS/Cloud Incubation Program, iSLE provides free of charge construction, operation and maintenance of up to five servers to all providers of SaaS or cloud services in the first year only. In subsequent years, the vendor can select from two plans based on their application specs and usage of the service in the first year.

Where more than five servers are required they will be provided at a special price.
Plan Details
  1. Platform Provision
We will provide you with a quote for monthly server operation fees in accordance with the application, system architecture, and other considerations.
  2. Revenue Sharing Model
iSLSE and the vendor share monthly revenue from the provision of SaaS or cloud services. Server operating costs are subtracted from iSLE’s share of revenue.
