GlobalSign Partners with SafeNet Japan to Launch Server-Based PDF Document Signing Solutions

Tokyo – May 18, 2009 – GMO Hosting & Security consolidated subsidiary and digital certificate services company, GlobalSign announces the launch this Thursday (May 21) of a server-based version of PDF Document Signing for Adobe CDS. The automated signing solution works with SafeNet Japan hardware security modules. The new service will enable automatic certificate issue from the server, and is capable of handling high-volume document-signing requirements.

Hardware used in generating and managing private keys and other confidential information. Specifically designed for key processing, it is between several hundred and several thousand times faster than the software processing on a general use computer.
Server-Based PDF Document Signing for Adobe CDS

GlobalSign PDF Document Signing for Adobe CDS, is a digital certification service for PDF documents. Recipients of digitally signed PDF documents can automatically verify the digital signature using version 6.0 or higher of the free application Adobe Reader®.

The new server-based version of PDF Document Signing for Adobe CDS (automated signing) integrates SafeNet hardware security modules and Adobe server software to offer automated server-based PDF document signing, a process previously only available as a desktop solution. The system enables real-time digital signing of PDF documents created on the server. It is designed for high volume needs including reporting, quotes, results and other documents produced in large quantities.

SafeNet’s secure, high performance hardware security modules work with Adobe LiveCycle Digital Signature ES enabling server-based digital signing of PDF documents, and GlobalSign PDF document certification to provide document security solutions that the needs of enterprise and government organizations worldwide.

Secure Signing Process
